Recent: A book review for 19th-Century Music Review appeared in October 2025. I defended my dissertation on vocal practice and aesthetics in opera between 1825 and 1850 in March 2025.
Revising: Two essays, one describing a change in operatic vocal technique in the 1830s, the other considering the importance of serenades to 19th-century ideas of gender and voice.
Drafting: A short essay on Cosima Wagner's vocal aesthetics and their influence on the early Bayreuth festival.
Future plans: A short project on the teaching practice of Charles-Amable Battaille; planning a longer exploration of form and time-perception in early 19th century opera; potentially revisiting my dissertation research.

Side projects: Periodically I translate opera for performance. Two of my short translations, both of numbers from Die lustige Witwe, were heard at Duke Opera Theater's performance in November 2022; I continue to revise a translation of the full operetta (now complete in draft). I also gave a voice recital in October 2022, a lecture-recital in October 2024, and another recital in April 2025.
